Sarah Rascati

Sarah Rascati, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Prior to entering the counseling field, I spent 20 years as an ESE educator and coach. I worked collaboratively with many teams to support and accommodate students, to proactively set them up for success. I also worked to support teachers, parents, and administrators. I coached teachers regarding intervention implementation, progress monitoring, and communication of such, with parents.
I received my B.S. degree from Marywood University, in PA, where I previously lived. My major was in Special Education. I went on to receive an M.S. degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, in addition to a second M.S. degree in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University, including Play Therapy and Trauma concentrations. I am currently approaching my third year as a mental health counselor with Milestone Counseling.
Throughout my educational journey and professional career, I have become highly experienced in the arena of assessment and diagnosis, educationally and clinically. I have a unique understanding of the school system, IEP, 504, and ESE processes, need for and implementation of accommodations, and collaboration with the school team. I have taken the concentrated course work in Play Therapy and am working toward certification of such. Additionally, I have begun the certification process in Sand Tray Therapy.
