Kirstin Lalka, Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern

Hello! I’m Kirstin Lalka. I’m a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist. I am passionate about supporting children through their unique developmental journeys. I specialized in play therapy during my time earning my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health. In my work with clients, I focus on child-centered play therapy with ages 4 and up.

In addition to working directly with children, I place a strong emphasis on partnering with parents. I understand that family dynamics play a crucial role in a child’s development, and I strive to work collaboratively with parents to create a cohesive support system for their child. By combining insights from our sessions with practical strategies for the home environment, I aim to foster positive and lasting changes.

I am excited to continue applying my skills and knowledge in play therapy to make a difference in the lives of children and their families.
