Carly is a dedicated and skilled registered mental health counseling intern with over a decade of experience in supporting young people through their developmental and emotional challenges in her previous career as an educator. With a warm, engaging approach, Carly specializes in helping children, teenagers, and young adults navigate issues such as anxiety, ADHD, depression, and trauma.
Carly earned her masters degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida and is a member of the American Counseling Association. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in play therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), ensuring that treatment is both effective and engaging for clients.
Carly’s work is characterized by a deep understanding of child development and a strong emphasis on building trusting, supportive relationships with her young clients. She is skilled at creating a safe, welcoming environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring their feelings. Additionally, Carly works closely with families, offering guidance and strategies to support their child’s emotional and behavioral growth at home.
Outside of her practice, Carly is passionate about advocating for children’s mental health. She regularly works with educators, focusing on early intervention strategies and fostering resilience in children.
